Why I Built Prime1
I got tired of watching talented athletes underperform because nobody was looking at the whole picture.
After 16 years working with athletes across every level, I kept seeing the same pattern: an athlete with real physical ability who couldn't hold it together when the game was on the line, or who was healthy on paper but breaking down anyway. And most programs were treating these as separate problems — mechanics, mental weakness, bad luck with injuries.
They're not separate problems. Cognitive fatigue and physical fatigue compound each other. Processing speed under pressure determines whether you execute in the moment or fall apart. And physical assessments tell you where an injury is building before it shows up as pain. These systems don't operate in isolation — so you can't train them in isolation.
That's what Prime1 is built around. I use Soma NPT to establish a cognitive baseline and build mental endurance — the same way you'd run a physical assessment before writing a program. I use ArmCare to measure strength ratios and load tolerance that tell us more about an athlete's health than any surface-level evaluation. And I use Triphasic training methodology to design a strength block that addresses your actual weak links, not a generic template.
The result is one integrated report showing exactly how your cognitive and physical data interact — and a program that actually makes sense because of it. No filler. No guessing. Just data and what to do with it.
I'm based in San Diego and work with athletes from high school through the professional level. If you're training hard but not training smart, that's the conversation I want to have.
